Public Records Request for Pool Consultant’s Contract with Piedmont
An official request for public records has been made to the City of Piedmont for information on the contract between the City’s consultant on the pool facilities, Jeff Eorio. This request has been initiated by the Piedmont Swim Club President, Tim Rood.
This request comes on the heels of a previous objection by Tim Rood to the lack of a Council resolution and vote reflecting its direction to staff to cease further lease negotiations with the Piedmont Swim Club and begin preparations to takeover the pool facilities. The Council’s direction was provided to staff at the February 7, 2011 Council meeting.
Editors note: Under the Piedmont City Charter an affirmative vote by 3 members of the City Council is required for the Council to act.
The City is required to respond within 10 days, unless it requests a 14 day extension of time. (Full text of Request below.)
Dear Mr. Tulloch and Mr. Grote,
This is a public records request under the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250 through 6276.48).
Please provide any contracts or agreements between the City of Piedmont and aquatics consultant Jeff Eorio, including the full text of the contract or agreement, the amount authorized, the date of authorization and the authorizing party or parties.
Please indicate the source of the funds being used to pay Mr. Eorio, as there is no allocation for aquatics in the current fiscal year budget.
Please indicate under what legal authority these funds are being expended.
I look forward to your response within 10 days.
Thank you for your attention.
Respectfully,
Timothy Rood
Piedmont Resident
