League of Women Voters Fundraiser on Politics
An Open Invitation to Residents –
A fundraiser to benefit the League of Women Voters of Piedmont is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The event will feature local political columnists Andy Ross and Phil Matier for an afternoon of commentary and insights into the political life of the Bay Area, the state of California, and the presidential election. This fundraiser will be held at the Piedmont Center for the Arts, 801 Magnolia Avenue, in Piedmont. Tickets are $25, payable to the LWV Piedmont Educational Fund.
Matier and Ross co-write the popular “Matier & Ross” news column for the San Francisco Chronicle, covering Bay Area and state-level politics, scandal, and gossip. In addition, Matier can be seen and heard regularly on CBS-5 TV and KCBS Radio. Both Ross and Matier are residents of Piedmont.
